Shenzhen's First Humanoid Robot Pilot Production Line Launched in Longhua

Shenzhen's first humanoid robot pilot production line—the Leju Robot Pilot Production Line located in Longhua—was officially inaugurated. This production line serves as a key "testing ground" for Leju's deployment in Guangdong. Leveraging the industrial chain synergy advantages of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), it accelerates product iteration and refinement, paving the way and setting standards for subsequent mass production.

Currently, Leju has established a complete manufacturing closed loop in the GBA featuring "Shenzhen R&D + Pilot Production" and "Foshan Manufacturing + Mass Production." Since its founding in 2016, Leju's Shenzhen headquarters has served as the core R&D base, accumulating profound technical expertise and talent reserves. Today, in Longhua, process validation and "pre-mass-production" refinement are carried out at the pilot base; in Foshan, mass production is achieved through the nation's first 10,000-unit-level humanoid robot automated production line built in partnership with Dongfang Precision.

At present, humanoid robot manufacturing is plagued by widespread issues including process instability, high costs, and inconsistent quality. Leju's pilot production line is the key to solving this challenge. Stepping into the Longhua pilot base, the production line has already begun small-batch trial production of the Roban 2 and is conducting pre-mass-production trials and validation focused on three major directions: "flexibilization," "standardization," and "intelligence."

A Leju representative stated: "The Longhua production line has a cycle time (CT) of ≤120 minutes, with an annual planned capacity covering 500–1,000 units. Our primary task at present is to establish standardized operating procedures for future mass production through pilot production." With the pilot base now operational, Leju is accelerating the translation of R&D achievements into mass production, laying the foundation for humanoid robots to enter industrial and household scenarios.

The launch of Leju's Longhua pilot production line represents a concentrated release of the GBA's industrial synergy advantages. Leju has established a complete manufacturing closed loop integrating "Shenzhen R&D + Pilot Production" and "Foshan Manufacturing + Mass Production."

The National 15th Five-Year Plan proposal included embodied intelligence in key future industry planning for the first time, proposing the construction of concept validation and pilot testing platforms. Guangdong Province's 2026 Action Plan aims to build over 200 smart factories and smart agent factories by the end of 2026, accelerating the construction of pilot testing platforms. Shenzhen is actively implementing its "AI+" initiative, supporting the construction of embodied intelligence technology testbeds.

By 2025, the core AI industry scale in Guangdong will reach 300 billion RMB, with both industrial robot and service robot output ranking first in China. The province is home to over 160,000 robot-related enterprises, forming a complete supply chain from core components to complete machine manufacturing. This robust manufacturing ecosystem is the foundation that enables Leju to take root in the GBA and progressively build robots from prototype to mass production.

Currently, humanoid robots have entered high-end scenarios including automotive manufacturing, 3C electronics, and smart logistics. Vast market demand is driving rapid technological iteration. According to the latest Morgan Stanley forecast, China's humanoid robot sales will reach 28,000 units in 2026, and the global market size will exceed $5 trillion by 2050. Leju's pilot production line is designed to refine products and establish standards during this pre-dawn moment of market explosion, paving the final stretch toward mass production.
