According to Xinhua News Agency, during the 2026 Beijing Yizhuang Half Marathon and Humanoid Robot Half Marathon held on the 19th, the "Lightning" robot from Shenzhen Honor Smart Technology Development Co., Ltd.'s "Monkey King Team" (Qitian Dasheng) won the championship with a net time of 50 minutes and 26 seconds, surpassing the men's half marathon world record of 57 minutes and 20 seconds set by Uganda's renowned athlete Cheptegei in Lisbon in March this year.

The swift-footed Honor humanoid robot "Lightning," standing 169 cm tall, features a stylish mecha-inspired design that balances aerodynamics with visual impact. Its core competitive advantages are speed and explosive power. The competing models included both autonomous navigation and remote-controlled variants.

The autonomous navigation variant is equipped with a self-developed high-dynamic motion system, featuring autonomous perception and navigation capabilities, high-speed running, and strong terrain adaptability. It demonstrates stable performance and rapid response during motion, with robust overall power and long endurance. During competitive scenarios, it can also provide real-time interactive feedback with humans through light strips and signature interactive movements.The team's R&D locations primarily include Beijing, Shanghai, and Shenzhen.

In this competition, humanoid robots started in sequence and raced on a dedicated track. This year's event was divided into two participation modes: autonomous navigation and remote control, with weighting coefficients of 1.0 and 1.2 applied to net times respectively. The championship-winning "Lightning" robot from the Monkey King Team competed in the autonomous navigation category.

Compared to the inaugural event last year, the number of participating teams increased nearly fivefold, and overall finish times improved significantly. Humanoid robots demonstrated more stable endurance, smoother gait, and more robust algorithms.
